Writing the Alphabet is the third workbook in the How to Teach Your Child to Write Well guide for people who wish to teach, learn or re-learn cursive writing.
In this workbook you will find a method to teach children to write the letters of the alphabet and connect them together to begin writing words and sentences.
The child already knows how to hold a pencil (Workbook 1 – Holding a Pencil) and has learned to draw the basic shapes: loop, garland, arcade and circle (Workbook 2 – Before Writing the Alphabet). Now it is time to learn to write letters and words.
The learning sequence relies on the basic shapes and the complexity of the letters. The child will gradually learn to connect the letters together and acquire beautiful penmanship.
Along with this workbook, we offer three activity books: Writing Sheets with Spacer Lines, Writing Sheets without Spacer Lines and Flashcards.
